Shoe Craze: Shoe Carnival Grand Opening

I didn't want to go to the grand opening..but we ended up going yesterday morning. Good thing I changed my mind, because I won a $50 gift card! Was able to buy Susy and I some shoes. It was crazy. I won a contest. The contest was to lace up a shoe and whoever did it the fastest won..and I did it the fastest. I hate tying up my laces or lacing them up but I did it! :O) Susy and I got shoes to work out in. Susy got the cute DEZZERT shoes in the middle oh wait sorry Taupe Susy corrected me on the color. ;)  I got some Sketchers those in the top left corner. They are walking shoes, they are so comfortable. Got a good deal on everything. The cost of four shoes rounded up was $70. (minus the $50 gift card I won)

To find a Shoe Carnival store>http://www.shoecarnival.com/company/stores.jsp
Or shop Shoe Carnival online>http://www.shoecarnival.com/

Shoe Carnival had a great grand opening! I loved the energy that all of the employees exuded. They had a woman clown and she had bubbles! They were also smart, having paper fans that had their store name on it, for the AZ heat. Contests, live music, and sales/promotions. They had doorbuster prices and continued to lower the price on certain items inside. Oh and they also had some Cardinal players signing autographs. JT something and someone else. Sorry, I’m not big on sports. One thing that I did not like though was the lack of knowledge of employees. I asked an associate where I could find a specific kind of athletic shoes and she was no help. Also her demeanor to help could have been better. It seem like she didn’t want to help me. Customer service anyone?

Overall a great store and experience. Check out a Shoe Carnival! <3 Sus-say

BONGO...BON!

Here is a brand that I (WE) love! I usually pick up an item from Sears. I think the most recent purchase was simple but cute skinnies that were under $11 each. I think I even bought a bag on clearance for $10. Susy’s last purchase were some blue shoes for $15 I believe. I love that the clothing/shoes is affordable, I am the queen of CHEAP! (Well I try to be...) This brand offers great looks for a great price. I have so many items from BONGO in my wardrobe; so I looked more closely at this private apparel brand.
Company Facts:
-Private company
-Based in North Miami, FL
-Apparel categories: Childrens, Womens, Sportswear

*Found out BONGO is owned by Iconix Group Brand. Iconix Group Brand licenses out several brands including: “Badgley Mischka, Joe Boxer, Rampage, Mudd, London Fog, Danskin, Royal Velvet, Fieldcrest, Charisma, Starter, Waverly, Umbro, Lee Cooper, Ed Hardy, and Sharper Image” (http://www.forbes.com/sites/zacks/2013/06/21/you-know-the-brands-do-you-know-the-bull/) I made a set made up of BONGO outfits below on Polyvore.

So happy that more and more brands are adding junior PLUS lines. Bongo has joined the bandwagon!! Plus size girls will feel happy to have more choices and they won’t have to go to stores specifically for Plus size (Torrid, Deb Shops, etc.) They will feel included not excluded. :) AND they will be able to go SHOPPING with their friends. Check out this interesting article about the growing plus size market. <3 Sus-say
